Residence Minister Amit Shah introduced signing of peace offers with two Tripura insurgent teams

Two rebel teams in Tripura have agreed to surrender arms and be a part of the mainstream in a historic peace settlement signed with the Centre and the state authorities. With the singing of this settlement, Tripura is left with no rebel teams after many a long time.

“Immediately is a historic day for us. The battle that we noticed for the final 35 years, as we speak I am glad these teams have put down weapons and are strolling on the trail to peace,” Union Residence Minister Amit Shah mentioned.

He mentioned the Ministry of Residence Affairs (MHA) has been working tirelessly to fulfil Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s imaginative and prescient of a developed northeast, free from extremism, violence and battle.

The 2 teams are the Nationwide Liberation Entrance of Tripura, and All Tripura Tiger Drive.

Mr Shah mentioned 328 members of the teams which have laid down arms can be built-in into society.
