A person has been arrested for allegedly poisoning two tigresses to demise in Nilgiris lately, Forest Division officers stated on Monday.
The arrested particular person was recognized as Sekar.
After the carcasses of the animals have been found, the forest officers launched a probe and despatched tissue samples for forensic evaluation.
With the carcass of a cow additionally discovered close by, a radical probe was launched within the locality, they stated. Later it emerged that Sekar’s cow was lacking for someday and he had discovered its stays.
He laced the cow’s carcass with insecticide and the animals that consumed it died, officers stated.
Sekar was later remanded to custody.
