Railway Employee Will get Trapped Whereas Shifting Prepare Coaches, Crushed To Loss of life

Mr Rao was crushed by the transferring engine and died on the spot.

New Delhi:

A railway porter was killed throughout a shunting operation at Barauni Junction in Bihar’s Begusarai on Saturday, police stated. The sufferer was recognized as Amar Kumar Rao, a porter working on the station underneath the Sonpur Railway Division.

Mr Rao was killed whereas performing his duties on platform 5 of Barauni Junction, because the Lucknow-Barauni Specific (No: 15204) arrived from Lucknow Junction. In line with railway sources, the accident occurred when Rao was making an attempt to open the coupling of the prepare. The prepare unexpectedly reversed, trapping him between the carriages.

After the alarm was raised by onlookers, the prepare driver reportedly exited the prepare and fled the scene, failing to reverse the engine or take any motion to stop the accident. Mr Rao was crushed by the transferring engine and died on the spot.

An investigation has been launched by railway authorities into the incident.
