Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Monday mentioned his authorities is dedicated to giving reservations to the Maratha neighborhood by proving its social and academic backwardness.

He was talking to reporters at Pune’s Bhimashankar Temple, one of many 12 ‘jyotirlingas’ within the nation.

“It’s our clear stand to provide reservations to the Maratha neighborhood. When Devendra Fadnavis was chief minister (between 2014 and 2019), we had given reservations to the Maratha neighborhood but it surely was put aside by the Supreme Court docket,” he mentioned.
