Mumbai:
A suburban practice derailed on Friday at Kalyan station in Thane district, some 60 kilometres from Mumbai, whereas coming into a platform. There was no report of anybody getting injured, an official mentioned.
The Titwala-CSMT practice derailed on platform quantity 2 at 9 pm, resulting in disruptions on the mainline, he mentioned.
“There is no such thing as a report of harm to anybody. The rear coach derailed when the practice was at sluggish velocity because it was about to halt at platform quantity 2,” Central Railway chief public relations officer Swapnil Nila mentioned.
In a message on X, Central Railway’s Mumbai division officer mentioned, “As a result of technical challenge, mainline providers are working not on time. Inconvenience is regretted.”
Kalyan is one in all Central Railway’s busiest junctions and is a serious halt for suburban and lengthy distance trains.
