The arrests have been made by the cyber police station of the Mumbai crime department, he added.
The arrested individuals embody staff of two main cell phone service suppliers and store house owners, the official added.
“These Whatsapp teams have been used to lure folks into bogus share investments and commerce. The eight-member gang has bought at the least 3,000 numbers on this unlawful means.
