It is raining money, gold, liquor and freebies in poll-bound Karnataka ever because the election dates have been introduced. On Thursday, numerous groups seized money of Rs 4.45 crore in Nippani, Bhadravathi, Gadag and Nargund, an election fee bulletin mentioned.
Other than this, 62,826 litres of liquor value almost Rs 1.89 crore was confiscated by the Excise Division.
The Static Surveillance Workforce seized 725 grams of gold value almost Rs 45 lakh in Dharwad constituency of Dharwad district whereas the Flying Squad Workforce seized freebies value greater than Rs 34 lakh in Byatarayanapura Constituency in Bengaluru metropolis, the bulletin mentioned.
On Thursday, money of Rs 4.61 crore, 395 grams of gold value Rs 21.25 lakh and 28 kg gold value Rs 19 lakh have been seized in Belagavi’s Khanapur Taluk.
Cumulatively, money of Rs 27.38 crore, liquor value Rs 26.38 crore, medication value Rs 88 lakh, 25.24 kg gold value Rs 9.87 crore and freebies value Rs 12.49 crore have been seized.
Karnataka Meeting Elections will probably be held on Could 10 and the counting of votes will happen on Could 13.
