Bollywood legend Mithun Chakraborty will obtain the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2024. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw introduced the information on X (previously Twitter). He wrote, “Mithun Da’s exceptional cinematic journey conjures up generations. Honoured to announce that the Dadasaheb Phalke Choice Jury has determined to award legendary actor, Sh. Mithun Chakraborty Ji for his iconic contribution to Indian Cinema. To be offered on the seventieth Nationwide Movie Awards ceremony on Oct 8, 2024.” The Dadasaheb Phalke Award is the nation’s highest movie honour and is given by the federal government.”
