Pandhurna, Madhya Pradesh:
Three individuals have been arrested in Madhya Pradesh’s Pandhurna district after a video of them hanging a minor boy the other way up and inserting scorching coal close to his head surfaced on social media, police mentioned on Monday.
The incident occurred on Sunday in Mohgaon, round 30 km from the district headquarters, they mentioned.
The viral video exhibits a boy hanging the other way up with arms tied with a rope and crying loudly, and later, a tray of scorching coal is positioned close to his head. A person can be seen tying one other boy within the video.
Within the video, persons are heard accusing the boy of stealing a watch and different objects.
Pandhurna’s Superintendent of Police (SP) Sundar Singh Kanesh mentioned the police arrested three individuals allegedly concerned within the incident and booked them underneath sections 137(2) (kidnapping), 127(2) (wrongful confinement), 115 (inflicting harm), 296 (obscene act) and different related provisions of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).
In the meantime, former chief minister Kamal Nath condemned the incident.

In a publish on X, Nath wrote, “A video has surfaced of a small baby being hung the other way up and crushed after which two kids being pressured to inhale chilli smoke. This incident is extremely condemnable. There is no such thing as a place for such acts in a civilized society. I demand the native administration to take strict motion in opposition to all of the culprits on this case.” The Congress chief mentioned he’s requesting the individuals of Pandhurna and the whole Madhya Pradesh that shedding endurance in such small issues and punishing kids so brutally is harmful.
“If against the law is dedicated, motion ought to be taken in accordance with the legislation and never by taking the legislation in a single’s arms and behaving brutally with kids. Such incidents of torturing kids carry down our area’s respect within the society,” he tweeted.
