In a weird case, a lady in Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills district has alleged that she discovered nails inside antibiotic tablets prescribed by docs at Pomlum Major Healthcare Middle (PHC) for her 12-year-old daughter, prompting the authorities to launch a probe into the matter, officers mentioned on Monday.

The incident had taken place on Saturday when the mom found two nails inside two of the ten amoxicillin tablets prescribed by docs on the PHC, they mentioned.

The mom, who didn’t disclose her identify, advised a neighborhood information channel in Shillong that two nails have been discovered inside a strip containing 10 tablets the well being centre had given to her daughter.
