A 35-year-old man in Gurugram allegedly died by suicide whereas he was live-streaming on Instagram from a resort room, the police stated. The person has been recognized as Vikram, they added.
His spouse, Neeru, has accused a lady of blackmailing him and forcing him to take the step.
In her grievance, Neeru, a local of Hisar, claimed Vikram was invited to a resort in Sector 38 by his good friend Anshi to have a good time her birthday.
“On the resort, my husband was compelled to die by suicide and stream it stay on Instagram. She was always blackmailing Vikram and demanding cash from him. She had some objectionable movies of them which she threatened to make add on-line. She tortured Vikram twice and compelled him to kill himself,” Neeru stated in her grievance, in response to the police.
The couple lived with their two kids in Gurugram’s Rajendra Park space, she stated.
Following her grievance, an FIR was registered in opposition to the feminine good friend beneath the Indian Penal Code for abetment to suicide, the police stated.
“An FIR has been registered in opposition to Anshi, a local of Himachal Pradesh, as per the grievance. We’re verifying the details and motion shall be taken as per the legislation,” stated Inspector Subhash Chand.
