A person died after being assaulted by a mob which mistook him for a thief within the early hours of Thursday in Borivali East space in Mumbai, a police official stated.
A police group managed to rescue Pravin Lahane from the mob and first took him to Kasturba Marg police station after which to a close-by hospital, he stated.
