A 20-year-old man was killed with a hammer on Wednesday, and his mom wounded, by the person’s cousin over a chunk of property, police stated.
Rakesh Kumar was attacked inside his house by the accused with a hammer, they stated.
Rakesh’s brother Rajesh instructed police his cousin barged inside the home and attacked Rakesh in his sleep.
“There was some dispute between the members of the family over a plot. Earlier, the matter was resolved within the panchayat. On Wednesday, my cousin Ravinder barged inside the home and attacked Rakesh with a hammer when he was sleeping,” Rajesh stated in his police grievance.
He stated when his mom tried to save lots of him, Ravinder attacked her additionally and fled.
“We rushed them to a close-by non-public hospital the place docs declared my brother useless,” he stated.
Police stated three groups have been fashioned to catch Ravinder.
“We’ve handed over the physique after post-mortem. Injured girl is steady. FSL staff inspected the spot and seized the hammer,” Station Home Officer (SHO) Arjun Dev of Sadar Police Station stated.
