Former Malaysian Finance Minister Daim Zainuddin, who pleaded not responsible to prices of failing to reveal property earlier this yr, died early on Wednesday, his lawyer stated.
The 86-year-old Daim served as finance minister from 1984 to 1991 and from 1999 to 2001 below former premier Mahathir Mohamad.
His lawyer, Gurdial Singh Nijar, confirmed Daim’s passing to Reuters, and stated the funeral could be held on Wednesday.
