Leopard Overwhelmed To Dying For Attacking Homeguard Jawan In UP

A leopard was allegedly overwhelmed to dying in a village in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor for attacking a house guard jawan, a forest division officer stated on Saturday.

The incident occurred on Friday night in Amannagar village, he stated.

Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Gyan Singh stated Homeguard Jawan Surendra had gone to a tubewell behind his home together with his kids — Disha (20), Reshu (14) and Deepanshu (18) — the place the leopard was sitting on a mango tree.

Upon seeing him, the leopard pounced on him and attacked him. Listening to the noises, the locals arrived on the scene and beat the leopard with sticks. It died on the spot, Mr Singh stated.

Citing data from the villagers, Singh stated that Disha confirmed braveness and caught the leopard’s legs from behind and Reshu and Deepanshu struggled with the leopard for 10 minutes to avoid wasting their father.

Mr Singh stated that details about the incident has been given to the senior officers and the autopsy of the leopard has been completed.

Ranger Rajneesh Tomar stated that the lifeless leopard is a feminine and its age is estimated to be round three years. Departmental motion is being taken on this case.
