Lady, Granddaughters Killed As Home Wall Collapses In Chhattisgarh

Surajpur:

A 55-year-old girl and her two toddler granddaughters have been killed after a wall of their kutcha home collapsed on them in Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh, police mentioned on Tuesday.

The incident came about on Monday night in Kartama village underneath Jainagar police station limits and the deceased have been recognized as Dhanmatia Das and her granddaughters Bijli (3) and Suhani (2), a police official mentioned.

As per the preliminary info, the kids have been at house with their grandmother whereas their mother and father, who work as labourers, have been out for some work, he mentioned.

Prima facie, the wall of their kutcha home caved in because it had weakened because of rainfall through the ongoing monsoon. The trio was trapped underneath the particles, he mentioned.

After the incident, the kids’s father shifted the trio to the Medical Faculty Hospital, Ambikapur in neighbouring Surguja district, the place medical doctors declared them lifeless, he mentioned.
