A day after he was given a send-off by his colleagues, together with the Kannur District Collector, from the north Kerala district, Extra District Justice of the Peace (ADM) Naveen Babu was discovered lifeless at his quarters in Pallikunnu right here on Tuesday.
Police mentioned Babu, who was presupposed to return to his residence district of Pathanamthitta a day earlier to take cost as ADM there, was discovered hanging in his quarters on Tuesday morning.
At his farewell ceremony, Babu confronted allegations of wrongdoing from District Panchayat president P P Divya, who reportedly attended the occasion with out an official invitation.
The District Panchayat president, belonging to the ruling CPI(M), criticised the ADM for delaying the approval of a petroleum pump in Chengalai for a number of months.
Divya accused the ADM of granting approval solely two days after being transferred and hinted that she knew the explanations behind this sudden approval.
Talking within the presence of the District Collector and Babu’s different colleagues, she additionally said that extra info can be revealed inside two days.
After concluding her speech, Divya declined to remain for the presentation of a memento, saying she didn’t want to stand for it, and left the stage.
