The Israeli army stated on Friday it killed senior Hamas official Izz al-Din Kassab, describing him as one of many final high-ranking members of Hamas liable for coordinating with different teams within the Gaza Strip, in an airstrike in Khan Younis.
The Palestinian group mourned the demise of Kassab in a press release, including that he was killed together with one other Hamas official named Ayman Ayesh in an Israeli assault on their automobile within the enclave.
Hamas sources instructed Reuters that Kassab was a neighborhood group official in Gaza however not a member of its decision-making political workplace.
