China on Thursday mentioned it want to deal with Indian journalists like “pal and household” after India expressed hope that Beijing would facilitate their continued presence of their nation.

The feedback got here within the backdrop of China barring two Indian journalists from coming into the nation, claiming India had refused to approve functions of Chinese language journalists.

For Chinese language journalists carrying legitimate Indian visas to hold out journalistic actions, we do not see any problem in reporting, International ministry spokesperson mentioned Arindam Bagchi yesterday.

For Indian journalists working in China, he mentioned, “We might hope that Chinese language authorities would facilitate their continued presence and reporting from China.”

Later within the day, his Chinese language counterpart mentioned Beijing hopes India will facilitate Chinese language journalists within the nation, when requested concerning the visa suspension of the 2 Indian journalists.

“We want to deal with Indian journalists like pal and household,” Chinese language overseas ministry spokesperson Mao Ning mentioned.
