A girl learning at IIT-Bhubaneswar died after allegedly falling from the fifth ground of its administrative constructing, police stated on Wednesday.
The physique of the 23-year-old girl was recovered by police from the institute’s campus on Tuesday night time.
“We suspect it to be a case of suicide,” a police officer stated.
The deceased was recognized as Kritika Raj, a third-year B.Tech pupil from Delhi.
“Yesterday night time at about 11 pm, a pupil fell down from the fifth ground of the administration constructing which homes the library… The police was knowledgeable instantly and are investigating the case,” the institute stated in a press release.
The physique has been taken to Khurda district headquarters hospital for postmortem examination, the officer stated.
