A portion of a street caved in Saturday morning close to a metro development website in south Delhi’s Maidan Garhi space, police mentioned.

Delhi Metro mentioned the cave-in occurred at its website Aerocity-Tughlakabad hall website.
“A portion of an inside street shifting in the direction of Maidangarhi from IGNOU has collapsed throughout the excavation work being completed as a part of the development work of the Aerocity-Tughlakabad hall of Delhi Metro’s Section 4.
“There hasn’t been any damage to any employee or harm to any property close by. The realm has been suitably barricaded and mandatory restoration work has been began,” DMRC mentioned in an announcement.
“The present site visitors on this street is delicate and the motion of autos has been diverted by means of the adjoining inside roads of the realm,” it added.
Visuals circulated on social media confirmed the caved-in portion of the street, which was coated and barred for the individuals to enter.
