A authorities college headmaster was arrested in Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday for allegedly sexually harassing college students. Muhammad Asgar Ali, headmaster of Authorities Secondary Faculty (GSS) in Gautampur was arrested after a joint grievance by college students alleging psychological harassment, implied or specific threats, blackmail, and sexually colored remarks.

On October 2, the police acquired the grievance during which college students described repeated inappropriate behaviour and sexually colored remarks made by Mr Ali and the impression on them. The headmaster’s conduct had induced them “immense misery, frustration, sleeplessness, powerlessness, anxiousness and forcing us to lose confidence and shallowness, social withdrawal and isolation, suicidal ideas and makes an attempt, elevated absenteeism from college to keep away from harassment, ” the scholars stated within the grievance.
