Former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray’s ballot promise to scrap the formidable undertaking to redevelop Dharavi, the largest slum in Asia, has sparked a powerful response from Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Releasing his celebration’s manifesto for the Maharashtra election, Mr Thackeray had mentioned yesterday that the Dharavi undertaking can have ramifications on Mumbai and will likely be scrapped if he’s elected to energy.
