Vijayawada:
An area court docket in Vijayawada on Tuesday rejected a home custody petition filed by TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, who was arrested in an alleged multi-crore rip-off and is at present lodged at Rajamahendravaram Central Jail in judicial custody for 14 days.
Home custody was not granted, Mr Naidu’s lawyer Jayakar Matta instructed PTI.
On Monday, a workforce of attorneys headed by senior counsel Siddharth Luthra representing Naidu had filed a petition to grant home custody for the previous Chief Minister citing menace notion.
Mr Naidu is a Z-plus class safety protectee.
An area court docket in Vijayawada remanded Naidu in judicial custody for 14 days on Sunday for his alleged position within the multi-crore Talent Improvement Company rip-off.
