A 27-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old lady in a closed MCD faculty and was recognized by his yellow shirt, stated Delhi police.
The accused has been recognized as Monu and he’s married, added the police.
In accordance with the police, the officers had been capable of arrested the accused by figuring out him from the yellow shirt he was carrying whereas he allegedly dedicated the crime.
Detailing the incident, the police stated, “The sufferer’s dad and mom work as contractual labourers on the faculty and the household stayed on the faculty, which was closed for a number of days and the incident occurred on Tuesday when the sufferer’s dad and mom weren’t on the faculty.”
“On Tuesday, the dad and mom left the college to gather their wages. The 16-year-old sufferer and her 18-year-old elder sister had been alone. Round 11.30 am, a person broke into the college and first dedicated a theft. Later he picked up a knife from the kitchen and assaulted the 16-year-old minor lady sexually at knife level,” added the police.
The police stated, “On Wednesday we had been knowledgeable {that a} man allegedly raped a 16-year-old lady after committing a theft at a closed MCD faculty within the nationwide capital.”
Additional, informing concerning the investigation, the police stated that they’ve filed an FIR of rape and theft on a criticism lodged by the sufferer’s dad and mom.
“Whereas investigating, the minor lady knowledgeable that the accused was carrying a yellow shirt. A blurred image of the accused in a yellow shirt was discovered on CCTV footage which helped us to establish and arrest the accused,” stated the police.
Additional investigation into the matter is underway.
