Two international ladies mountaineers, who had been stranded at a top of 6,015 metres on their technique to the Chaukhamba III peak in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district, had been rescued on Sunday morning, the District Catastrophe Administration Centre right here mentioned.
The mountaineers — Michelle Theresa Dvorak from the USA and Fav Jane Manners from the UK — had been stranded since October 3.
Two IAF helicopters started a search operation to hint them on Friday.

They had been joined by mountaineering-trained State Catastrophe Response Drive personnel on Saturday to help within the operations. They had been a part of a international mountaineering expedition by the India Mountaineering Basis.
In response to the state emergency operation centre in Dehradun, the 2 had been stranded after their logistical and technical tools fell down after they had been on their technique to Chaukhamba III peak located at 6,995 metres.
